This site was created by the Election Transparency Coalition, a nonprofit, non partisan organization dedicated to transparent elections in New York through the use of non-computerized electoral systems.
More than 2,000 individuals and many organizations have signed Save-the-Levers petitions.
The leaders of ETC have been working on the issue of election transparency in New York pro bono for years. This is one reason why we can speak so freely on the subject — we don’t owe anybody anything.
ETC is a project of the International Humanities Center, a 501(c)(3) organization.
The mission of ETC is to secure public oversight and control over the every step of New York state’s elections by halting the elimination of longstanding constitutional safeguards so that the public can be certain that election results accurately reflect the will of the voters. ETC seeks a court declaration that concealed vote counting, as mandated by the Election Reform and Modernization Act, is unconstitutional; such a ruling would reinstate our existing transparent voting system, used until 2010, and establish a precedent for the rest of the nation.
